VISA ENDS Crypto Debit Card!! But why????

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Hello World,

As of recent news Visa will be suspending its partnership with Wavecrest (a cryptocurrency debit card provider)

What does this mean for those who have a CryptoPay, Bitwala, TenX card? Is all your money lost Forever?

More than likely your money will still be available for you to access in some way with the company you would need to contact them so they can further direct you or im sure they will be sending out emails shortly to all of their customers informing them on exactly how to go about obtaining their funds. But the major change being you will no longer have access to use the issued debit card for purchases.

(In summary) it doesn't really matter that Visa has decided to end their partnership with Wavecrest. Simply because we are now entering into times where we will need banks less and less. Some Banks are already aware of this and are on the forefront of the trend take Chase Bank for example look into one of their branches and you will only see only 1 Bank Teller. This is chases attempt to "cut the fat" in their organization they realize that soon they might even be replaced by technology.

If you truly are a believer in the crypto movement you really A) shouldn't even have one of these cards and B) We have a countless number of mobile wallets you can choose from to store your tokens. You can use them for daily spending with merchants who accept the tokens you hodl (no pun intended)

Also keep in mind that cryptocurrencies are literally the exact definition of a conflict of interest for a company like Visa. Keep in mind companies like Visa, American Express, Mastercard Etc make a HUGE majority of their money through FEES! and that's exactly what cryptocurrency is the opposite of.
