I think there is room for all of the major digital currencies and there does not have to be a loser. When you think of how many fiat currencies are in use in the world today that should give you an idea of how many cryptocurrencies can survive in the future. Nice post!

Still it's going to get killed in the future by Dash or even better cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is at where Internet Explorer was at 2005-2006
Bitcoin is ARPANET. In 5 years BTC won't even have 30% of the blockchain market share.
That may be true, but for the time being we are still waiting for the Arpanet of crypto. It's always good to diversify of course. I mine Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, and I'm holding Ripple too.

There are more and more people interested in cryptocurrencies, but in the other hand there are less and less mining reward. The demand is growing so much faster than the supply.
Imagine 21,000,000 Bitcoins for 8,000,000,000 inhabitants on earth.
At the moment, there are around 16,000,000 Bitcoins ; around 1 Bitcoin for 500 inhabitants on earth.
As demand is growing, the value each inhabitant is ready to put in bitcoin will increase, so 1 Bitcoin will represent the working load of 500 inhabitants in a year. Is it much ! Yes it is.

People will always invest in Bitcoin and Ether since they are the refrence to altcoins. When the demand of cryptocurrencies is rising, and it will in near future imo, then the prices of those two will be crazy ... todays investors are lokking into a bright future as soon as the broad mass discovers this beautiful little things ;-)

Personally I am in Bitcoin for the long term and I am very confident it will continue to go from strength to strength. Notice how the fork didn't cause a dent, rather made it stronger. Upvoted!
