Byteball Poll

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Byteball is a cryptocurrency which has recieved very little attention due to a lack of advertisement.

I recently posted this post on reddit the other day asking why byteball is so much less popular than IOTA.

I thought it'd be good to take a poll of public opinion on Byteball. To that end, please resteem so this poll gets attention, then comment below with answers to the following questions:

  • Had you heard of the byteball cryptocurrency prior to this post?
  • Had you heard of IOTA prior to this post?
  • If you know about both, then which do you think has the most potential and why?

Sort:

I pick Byteball, technology is way more advanced than IOTA while marketcap is 35x lower. See:

What are the main similarities and differences with the other DAG-like Crypto IOTA?

tonych: IOTA also uses DAG, and this is the only similarity.
Everything else is different:
– IOTA uses PoW. In Byteball, the ordering of transactions is based on main chain
– In IOTA, parts of the DAG can be orphaned. In Byteball, there is no chance of orphaning
– Byteball has transaction fees, in IOTA there are no explicit fees (but users still have to expend resources for PoW)
– In Byteball, there are deterministic criteria when a transaction becomes final. In IOTA, there are no exact criteria, it is still probabilistic
– IOTA is a single token currency with only plain payments, Byteball has multiple assets and smart contracts
– In IOTA all payments are public. In Byteball, there are assets that are transferred privately

I have never heard of Byteball, and have been reading a lot about IOTA recently.

To be honest Byteball looks way more under developed, I'm not even sure why they should be compared?

I think they're similar in their ability to fix scaling problems by using a DAG instead of a blockchain. Do you think byteball is under-developed or just lacks advertising and why?

Just basing my opinion off their website and easily googled information. It seems a bit amateur. I find it hard to take a crypto seriously if they can't get the fundamentals right. I know that's a little shallow, but it is a starting point for sifting through the hundreds of cryptos available.

Nice post! I upvoted and followed you. Can you check my last blog post about crypto: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@cryptoizotx/crypto-market-sentiment-update-december-4-2017 ?

Dude...no you didn't and it's easy to verify that...even so this is obvious bot spam and it tells me you don't respect the platform so I flagged you :)
