Finally, an easy way to track your profit!
What's up guys, I'm back again with another review.
For the longest time I've been looking for a quick, seamless way to track my bitcoin profit easily. (Why does Coinbase not show this?!) Because, who doesn't like watching their crypto go to the moon!
Well, today I want to review one I recently came across on the iOS store (screw desktop apps, I want to see the moment it changes). It's called Coinly.
So pros and cons, let's go!
Pros
- Awesome design and UI - It's not only simple and easy to use but looks amazing too. The color scheme, while definitely unique, is actually surprisingly pleasing to look at.
It's an app, not just browser-based - I love this. I hate being limited to checking my profits in a browser. It's a pain, end of story.
It's being actively developed - It seems like a lot of apps I have tried recently are dead. They've been released and left to rot in the app graveyard. The developers of Coinly are actively pushing new updates and android should launch in the next two weeks.
It's free! That's right, not a cent. I think they may accept donations from satisfied community members, but otherwise, it's all free!
Cons
It's underdeveloped - There is some functionality missing that is desperately needed. It's brand new so I can forgive this. A lot of feedback has been given to the developers and it looks like some upgrades are coming ASAP, like a coinbase integration to automatically track transactions.
It doesn't track alt coins - This personally was a little bit disappointing to me, as a large part of my portfolio is altcoins; however, the developers have told me this is in the pipe too. So while for now I'll manually check on those, at least it's only a con for a small amount of time.
And that's it! I'm pretty bullish on where this app is going. The team seems to be great and the app looks amazing. If you need a profit tracking app, check it out and let me know what you think!
Thanks very good post !!!!
Awesome Work!
Keep it up!!!

Great post!
What are some other platforms you would suggest to track profit?
I've tried blockfolio, but I really didn't like my experience there. Do you have a favorite?
I haven't looked thinking about a Google Sheet for now.
This is my first time really investing in anything other than 401K that's managed by other people.
Cryptocurrency has really gotten me into learning about investing before I thought it was boring and only for the rich. But with crypto it's opened a whole new world.
How does it get the data to track your purchases? You sure it isnt going to steal your coins, while pretending to track?
It uses read only permissions using the coinbase api! Perfectly safe. Never grant permissions above what is needed.
