After making good money on the crypto market, like many in the Steemit Community during the end of 2017 and beginning of 2018, for reasons out of my control, I lost big after Hurricane Maria leveled my neighborhood.

We lost all communications. No TV stations were broadcasting, no landlines, no cellphone tower standing, no electricity for almost 6 months and very limited resources. the only way to know about what was going on, was only ONE radio station standing. I lived in a little hill but about 200 feet from the house I could see jetskis not stopping at a for way stop. Yes, people climbed over their house while some people with Jetskis , rescuing them. Remember, theirs no way to call the police or anyone. I was like waking up in the 1950s and Water World the movie, at the same time.

After a while we got access to the main roads, but people were running out of water, food and gasoline. Then, chaos began to take over.

With limited cash in our pockets and with the supermarkets being closed, because during the storm people broke in the building and stole all the goods, we had very little options but rationalize and wait. Waiting for a $20 dollar maximum aloud of gasoline per family, was 24 to 48 hour line, bumper to bumper sleeping in the car.

Sorry, I had to share all this with you guys to set the atmosphere of the Roller coaster of mixed feelings I had.

After a couple of weeks of the biggest Hurricane in the history of US and territories, FEMA and American first responder companies Hired me to installed Blue roofs (tarps). Remember, there was no businesses, no companies standing, bank operating and the only money you had was the cash in your pockets. I was one of the lucky ones with a job generating an income. Technically I was accumulating checks in my drawers, because I could not cash them for I while.

Then, I remembered I had invested in Ethereum and left some in Bitcoin...

When I was able to connect to the WWW I checked my stats and was speechless for a while. I lost so much time and money I felt on a depression. I got so mad that I stop communication with my friends in Steemit, Discordapp and stopped investing in the crypto market.

I was not able to managed my investments, but I was not too worry because the last time I saw the market, was favorable.

After all the suffering and found the light at the end of the tunnel. The damn tunnel was far away and hard to find but I did it. I have job a that pays well. I got a part-time business in construction and web designing. I know, web and construction completely different but in a complicated market you need to do it all.

Its time to take control of Cryptos Investments and look for my friends and meet new ones.
