I can see steem going to $100 this year based on the capabilites and enthusiasm of the people involved with devoloping on the steem blockchain. The tech is one of the best if not the best handling transaction loads. I wish amazon chooses steem for their payments and reviews!
I'm impressed by the steem blockchain's capabilities. I think the steemit platform in its present form, with all of its issues, does not represent steem at its best. And unfortunately until that is addressed the price of steem will be volatile. We'll see what 2018 brings.
