The Fırst Crypto Money Given As Gift To A Newborn Child In Turkey

Serkan İnci and İsmail Alpen -famous internet entrepreneurs in Turkey- did something first in crypto currency. 

In Turkey, it is a tradition that giving "çeyrek" (Quarter valued gold) as a present to newborn children. İsmail Alpen and Serkan İnci did something different. They gave "çeyrek" BTC to their editor's boy, Metehan.

It was big news for internet magazines and papers in country. Little Metehan became famous and his name was written to the history of crypto money.

In his tweet, Serkan İnci said: "We gave to Metehan, newborn baby of our dear editor Murat, 0.25 BTC. This will place as the first cryto money that given to a baby as gift. We hope, he will be a coder when he grows up."

Bitcoin is becoming popular in Turkey. It seems, we will see lots of incidents like this in the future. Traditions are having new shapes with the technology.
