[Cryptocurrency Mining 101] 가상화폐 채굴학개론 [KOR/ENG/ESP]

오늘은 가상화폐 채굴작업에 대해서 간략하게 소개해보고자 합니다.

#1. 채굴이란 무엇인가

쉽게 말하자면 한정된 수량의 가상화폐의 암호화 된 부분을 CPU나 GPU로 풀어서 보상을 받는 작업을 말합니다.

기존 화폐들은 중앙은행이나 정부가 찍고 싶은대로 찍어내서 발행량이 정해져있지 않지만,

비트코인과 같은 가상화폐는 발행량을 정해놓고, 시중에 풀리는 양을 암호화를 통해 시간차로 

화폐 유통량을 조절하는 것입니다. (이는 시간이 지날수록 가격이 오를 수 밖에 없는 중요한 요소 중 하나입니다.)

#2. 채굴의 종류

채굴방식은 다양하게 존재하지만, 크게는직접채굴과 간접채굴이 있습니다.

직접채굴은 전문채굴기나 일반 PC의 CPU나 GPU를 이용하여 전기, 인터넷을 소모하여 채굴하는 방법이고,

간접채굴은 클라우드 마이닝을 통해 전기세, 관리비를 포함한 리스형식으로 채굴을 대행업체에게 맡기는 것입니다.

대표적으로 제네시스마이닝이나 마이닝맥스 등이 있습니다. 하지만 채굴량 투명성, 신뢰성 등으로 논란의 여지도 있습니다.

직접 채굴시 ANTMINER과 같은 그래픽카드 4~6개씩 달린 본체를 200~300만원때에 사서 

비싸더라도 빡세게 돌리는 방법이 있는 반면, 가정용 PC 등으로 

채산성이 그나마 높은 알트코인들을 채굴하는 방법이 있습니다. 

MINERGATE 와 같이 간단한 일반 PC 채굴 프로그램을 이용하면, GTX 1060 정도급 그래픽카드가 있는 컴퓨터라면

한달에 4만원정도 소소한 수익을 얻을 수 도 있습니다. 

(마이너게이트는 악성코드 논란도 있었지만, 개인 블로그 같은데서 악성코드와 함께 합쳐진 S/W 다운로드 시 

문제가 확인되었고, 공식 홈페이지 HTTP://MINERGATE.COM에서 다운로드 시 문제가 없는 것으로 확인되고 있습니다.)

이런 클라우드 마이닝이나 채굴대행은 개인적으로는 아직 믿음이 가지 않아서 추천드리지 않지만,

#3. 채굴 효율

이더리움 기준으로 채굴 효율이 높은 그래픽 카드 순위입니다. (2017년 7월 TECH SPOT 기준)

가성비와 채산성을 보았을때는 AMD사의 라데온 계열이 NVIDIA보다 효율이 높은 편입니다.

가상화폐 채굴에 좋은 그래픽카드들이 조금씩 시장에 나오고 있지만, 채굴 난이도 문제 때문에 약간 늦은 것 아닌가 하는 생각이 많이 듭니다.

최신 채굴기나 그래픽카드로 가정용 전력이 아닌 산업용 전기를 사용했을때 5~6개월 정도의 손익분기점 돌파가 가능한 것이 현재 채굴 효율성으로 흔히 알려져있습니다.

#4. 채굴 전망

이더리움, 비트코인, 제트캐쉬 등 대부분의 주력 코인들은 이미 난이도가 굉장히 높습니다.

참여자도 이미 포화상태이므로 난이도는 점점 더 빠르게 높아질 것입니다.

따라서 넓은 땅에 전기를 펑펑쓸 수 있는 분이 아니라면 직접 채굴은 효율이 매우 떨어지는 것이 채굴작업입니다.

차라리 트레이딩을 통해 시세차익을 보시는 것이 경제적으로는 더 나을 수 있습니다.

또한 대부분의 가상화폐들이 무식하게 많은 그래픽카드와 전기를 통해 채굴하는 문제에 대응하여 

POW(PROOF OF WORK)방식에서 POS(PROOF OF STAKE) 방식으로 전환중이어서, 현재의 채굴 방식이

점진적으로 바뀔 것으로 전망되고 있습니다.

하지만 채굴을 통해서 해당 가상화폐에 대한 지식과 연구에 도움이 되는 부분도 있고,

알트코인의 경우 앞으로 얼마나 가격이 펌핑될지 모르므로 장기 투자의 한부분이 될 수 도 있습니다.

예를 들어 이더리움 가격이 갑자기 수백만원이 된다면, 지금 하루에 0.1 이더를 채굴하더라도 이득이 될 수 있다는 이야기 입니다.

따라서 현재 채굴작업은 개인적으로 시기상 부적절하다고 판단되지만, 

장기투자 및 가상화폐 연구용으로는 충분히 시도해볼 매력적인 부분이라고 생각합니다.

Today, I would like to briefly introduce crypto-currency mining operation.

#1. What is Mining?

To make it easier to say, mining is getting rewards by unlocking the encrypted part of limited amount of crypto-currency with CPU or GPU. 

Currencies in general go current with unlimited amount by central banks and governments.

However, crypto-currencies like bitcoin has a fixed issue-amount, and it gets released periodically which enables the adequate circulation of the money.

(This is one of the main factor why the price of bitcoin keeps increasing as time goes by.)

#2. Mining methods

There are many kinds of mining methods, we can categorize by direct mining and indirect mining into two great divisions.

Direct mining is a method by using exclusive miner or by using CPU & GPU on regular PCs. (Of course, electricity and internet is required for that.)

Indirect mining is a method by using agencies or mining pool hub.

For example, Genesis Mining or Miningmax can be typical agencies. However, there were some disputes on its transparency and credibility problem.

It costs around 2,000 ~ 3,000 USD to buy exclusive miners like ANTMINER which has 4~6 graphic cards.

Also, there is another way to mine profitable alt-coins with regular PCs.

If you use simple tools like MINERGATE, you can earn about 40 USD. (Regular PC with GTX 1060 gtx) 

(Some unidentified programs have malignant codes on personal blogs, so it would be better to use program from official websites like HTTP://MINERGATE.COM)

Personally, I do not recommend cloud mining agencies. But if you want to know more, you could ask me by leaving me a comment.

#3. Mining Profitablity

Cost-effectiveness and profitability seem better with Radeon products from AMD, rather than products from NVIDIA.

Good graphic cards for mining are getting released to the market nowadays, but I think it fell a step behind.

It is commonly known that it takes about 5~6 months to to reach to break-even point using latest mining tool by using electricity with industrial usage.

#4. Mining Prospects

Main coins such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, Zcash, etc already have high difficulties for mining now.

As more miners are joining, its difficulty will get higher with great speed.

Consequently, unless you have a lot of free electricity, the profitability of mining seems very low.

It would be better to get profits by trading margin.

Also, many crypto-currencies are switching to POS(Proof Of Stake) from POW(Proof Of Work) due to inefficiency of typical mining operation done with numerous graphic cards and electricity usage.

On the Other hand, you could still learn a lot of knowledge by doing mining operation,

and some alt-coins have great possibility of price increase if you mine them at the right moment.

For instance, if the price of Ethereum gets to 1,000 ~ 2,000 USD, you will still get profits even if you can only mine 0.1 ETH a day.

Thus, it can be anachronistic to start mining now, while it could be still attractive if you have purpose on learning and long-term investment portfolio.

Hoy, me gustaría introducir brevemente la operación de minería de cripto-moneda.

# 1. ¿Qué es la minería?

Para hacerlo más fácil de decir, la minería está recibiendo recompensas al desbloquear la parte encriptada de una cantidad limitada de cripto-moneda con CPU o GPU.

Las monedas en general van al corriente con una cantidad ilimitada por los bancos centrales y los gobiernos.

Sin embargo, las criptas-monedas como bitcoin tienen una cantidad fija de la edición, y consigue lanzada periódicamente que permite la circulación apropiada del dinero.

(Este es uno de los factores principales por qué el precio de bitcoin sigue aumentando con el paso del tiempo.)

# 2. Métodos de minería

Hay muchos tipos de métodos de minería, podemos clasificar por minería directa y minería indirecta en dos grandes divisiones.

La minería directa es un método utilizando mineros exclusivos o utilizando CPU y GPU en PCs normales. (Por supuesto, electricidad e internet es necesario para eso.)

La minería indirecta es un método mediante el uso de agencias o centros de minería.

Por ejemplo, Genesis Mining o Miningmax pueden ser agencias típicas. Sin embargo, hubo algunas disputas sobre su problema de transparencia y credibilidad.

Cuesta alrededor de 2.000 ~ 3.000 USD para comprar mineros exclusivos como ANTMINER que tiene 4 ~ 6 tarjetas gráficas.

Además, hay otra forma de rentabilidad alt-monedas con PCs normales.

Si utiliza herramientas simples como MINERGATE, puede ganar unos 40 USD. (PC normal con GTX 1060 gtx)

(Algunos programas no identificados tienen códigos malignos en los blogs personales, por lo que sería mejor utilizar el programa de sitios web oficiales como HTTP // MINERGATE.COM)

# 3. Beneficio Minero

La rentabilidad y la rentabilidad parecen mejorar con los productos Radeon de AMD, en lugar de los productos de NVIDIA.

Las buenas tarjetas gráficas para la minería están siendo liberadas al mercado hoy en día, pero creo que se cayó un paso atrás.

Se sabe comúnmente que tarda cerca de 5 ~ 6 meses alcanzar punto del punto muerto usando la herramienta más última de la explotación minera usando electricidad con uso industrial.

# 4. Perspectivas Mineras

Principales monedas como Ethereum, Bitcoin, Zcash, etc ya tienen grandes dificultades para la minería ahora.

A medida que más mineros se unan, su dificultad aumentará con gran velocidad.

En consecuencia, a menos que tenga una gran cantidad de electricidad libre, la rentabilidad de la minería parece muy baja.

Sería mejor obtener beneficios por el margen de negociación.

Además, muchas criptas-monedas están cambiando a POS (Proof Of Stake) de POW (Proof Of Work) debido a la ineficiencia de la operación de minería típica hecha con numerosas tarjetas gráficas y uso de electricidad.

Por otro lado, todavía se puede aprender un montón de conocimientos mediante la operación de minería,

Y algunos alt-monedas tienen gran posibilidad de aumento de precios si usted mina en el momento adecuado.

Por ejemplo, si el precio de Ethereum llega a 1.000 ~ 2.000 USD, usted todavía obtendrá beneficios incluso si sólo puede mina 0.1 ETH al día.
