Know Your Developer (KYD) Coin

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

How frustrating is the cryptocurrency space right now? Scam coins are listed daily, clogging up the conversation and ruining the reputation of the whole industry.

Know Your Developer (KYD) has set out to rectify this situation.

The KYD team aim to build a “certification” system so you can be sure the team you are going to invest in are legitimate.
View developers credentials before you even work with them. Escrow services for developer payments. Review and rate dev teams.

The KYD team have built their model around a coin ecosystem. The reason another coin is needed for this? Really not clear, I don’t see the need for a KYD specific coin.

Anyway, KYD will have master nodes for those that can’t resist

The project is still in pre-launch in terms of "team reviews". However, there is some preliminary id verification on their website. Example below:

The current valuation of the company is $300,000. They are tackling a niche market, and it is difficult to see how the project is going to have continuing revenue coming in unless their escrow business takes off. How many dev teams need verification? and how many times? Is once enough? This makes me think that $300,000 may be close to their peak value.

Scams are a plague on the crypto-world and this project is a noble one if it indeed helps reduce the incidence of scams. Hopefully the KYD team will make a load of money for their troubles.

Disclosure: I do not own any KYD and I do not intend to buy.
