Cryptocurrency Novice At Work!

So my man has been hounding me to get onto cryptocurrency. I've never seen maths/currency/numbers/finance - you get it, I'm not big on the economics - as my strong suit. Trying to desperately research anything and everything about cryptocurrency, scribbling down notes and trying my hardest to understand every terminology.
