What in the World Do I Do With My Tron Tokens Once Mainnet Launches???
Anyone holding Tron TRX tokens should take notice that they are going to have to take some necessary steps in the coming weeks to ensure that their tokens are still valid after the upcoming mainnet launch. Tron has been a part of the Ethereum network, but the time has come to migrate away from this into its own block chain. Tron has announced that all token holders will have to swap their Ethereum based tokens for the new and improved TRX blockchain tokens. How in the world is this going to happen and how will it affect my tokens? The Tron Foundation has announced that the only way this can happen at this time is by putting your tokens on an exchange which will then be responsible for the swapping of the tokens. There are some concerns about this, I would strongly urge using one of the major exchanges to avoid any problems. This change would require anyone keeping their Tron on a wallet to transfer out of it and onto the exchange. Another problem this may pose is the inability to transfer back to the wallet due to incompatibilities with the new blockchain tokens until hardware updates are made to accept the new TRX tokens. Overall I don’t see any of this being a major problem as long as you transfer before the launch of mainnet planned around June 21. I would also urge holders to not wait until the last minute, because there have been exchange outages or other unforeseen problem arise. Don’t procrastinate and migrate! Good luck TRX holders, I see 2018 being a big year for the cryptoworld.
