Meet the cryptocurrency that pays you to hack sites!!

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Cryptocurrencies have always been the hot topic since the beginning of the year. Ever since Bitcoin shot up, the interest towards these currencies seems to have lost any bound.

Amid these developments, a new currency has been created: DDoSCoin. A lot of computational energy is wasted in the mining of cryptocurrency. Two researchers at Univerity of Colorado built DDoS coin which would require someone to perform DDoS attacks on sites for mining.

For those of you who don't know mining is essential to keep track of all transactions that keeps place with cryptocurrencies. Read more at https://www.bitcoinmining.com/

What are DDoS attacks?

DDoS stands for Denial of Service attack and as stated they affect systems by some trojan causing a Denial of Service.

Why were these coin invented?

People used to say Bitcoin wastes power. Nothing useful comes out of Bitcoin mining. Well, something useful (the website attacks!) is going to get out from DDoS coin mining!

How do you feel about this coin?

Sort:

I really like cryptocurrencies and I think they have potential

This coin however I do not like the sound of.

Rewarding a person for taking down a website and giving websites bounties. It sound too malicious and will only support the arguments against cryptocurrencies.

The idea in rewarding people with crypto is awesome but what they are rewarded for defines it as good or bad.

Steemit, reward people creating great content. Awesome!

BAT coin, rewarding people for retained attention and interaction on a website. Great!

Break a website, I'm not a big fan of the idea although I can see why a group of people would be behind it and enjoy the task of collecting bounties.

Personally I would rather coins that encourage melicious activity didn't exist. There is already a great gathering of people with tons of negative ideas that are against cryptocurrencies and throwing more onto that fire sound like a really bad idea. Especially if we want cyrpto coins to be globally accepted.

A post by @terminatordvp "getting paid for playing games you love"(I might have typed the title wrong) sounds like a much better idea and a coin based on that idea would be great.

What about a coin that reward gamers for co.pleting games and games had bounties?

I don't know how I feel about this. But let's hope DDoS does not become too popular
