Is Cryptocurrency an Investment or the Future of Currency?

Crypto Currency The Future?.jpg

Hey Guys!! I really want to know what you think about cryptocurrency. Do you see it as an investment opportunity only, or do you use crypto as much as you can as currency on your day to day life?

As Bitcoin has topped 10K!!!! OMGGGG! Congrats to all who own coins and coins and more coins. I hear of many people starting to see bitcoin as a big investment opportunity, but wouldn't it give it more value if people actually used it as a currency rather than just invest money and pull out when they have made the gains they wanted?

If you enjoyed this video please upvote it! I appreciate it. If you want to see more of me on video let me know!!! I tend to write more but if you enjoy the video blog best I would like to hear your input!

Thanks all and happy steeming!!!!

Both of course

How do you use it on the daily?

Yes, it is an investment. I do it.

Would you use it as currency?

If my country legalizes, I will use it. Currently, I invest some crypto and of course also trade it.

Where are you from?

Indonesia. Our country does not ban bitcoin, but there is little difference of opinion to crypto as payment.

Ah awesome, yeah I see that. It is still so early.

Is it illegal? I imagine unless there is specific law against it, it should be legal by default.

Is what Illegal?

Using cryptocurrency in Indonesia. Pretty sure it's not illegal.

Yes. All it will take is mainstream adaptation but blockchain tech will be used as a currency.

I would. Like I said below; it isn't much different than using your debit card if you can access those funds through a credit/debit card. How many of us physically hold cash these days? Less and less people do. I am one of those. It's just more convenient to do digital holdings and pay with a debit card.

I also invest @teukumukhlis 👍

Bitcoin is leading the way for Alt coins. Great time to be alive!

Exactly!!! Let’s get it!

I honestly feel that it will turn into a real form of currency. Look at how currency has changed over the ages. It has gone strictly from some form of coin to paper and now much of it is done digitally. I try to carry no form of physical currency on me other than my debit card. It's just so much easier to swipe a card rather than to have to count out a bunch of paper to get some coins back that I'm just going to toss in a jar. Currency is just something that a person gives value to no matter whether it is physical or not.

I don't think Bitcoin will become a currency in a way that we think of currency today. It is too expensive to spend. It will be more of a form of investment like gold.
We will be spending an altcoin with cheaper transaction fees for everyday items instead.

You are probably right but @psykogamer is not wrong. If it is not Bitcoin, one alt coin will emerge to become a more stable, easy to access popular currency until the price of that altcoin rises and another alt coin follows up. Digital currency is a cyclic ecosystem guided by the market value.

OMG! You are so right. I agree, I think thats what most of us do. Toss the coins in a jar. You just inspired me to write another post. Ill save it for tomorrow.

Glad I could say some words of inspiration for you. I occasionally say some words of wisdom.

It is both and more. There are so many currencies in crypto; some with long term value and real use-case scenarios and others just being get rich quick schemes. Either way the tech is around to stay!

I am always afraid to trade because of the transaction fees and don't know exactly how to trade so I can make money. I am afraid that if I sell my bitcoin instead of holding it, I will lose money.

It is definitely a risk but the opportunity is there. With a little bit of research, patience and resilience you stand the chance to make more profit in the lower cap altcoins but bitcoin isn't a bad hold! I wrote this article on the exchange I like using most. You should give it a read: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@bcsaffy/why-binance-has-become-my-favorite-crypto-exchange

Thank you. Ill check it out!

Thank you so much Everyone! 🙏🏽😊

Crypto is the future of money, Bitcoin is not. At least not the branch limited to about 3 transactions per second.

(Apologies, I'm at work and can't watch video, so I replied only to your title and text).

Oh video pretty much says the same thing except I rant about my shirt lol

Damn!!! Cryptocurrency is both an investment as well as the future of currency remember it's a digital world with a digital currency.
Banks already adopting the blockchain technology, Educational institutions accepting bitcoin as mode of school fees payment.
It gets more exciting with cryptocurrency. Sadly, I didn't get into it early enough.
