There is an exciting market of employment up for grabs, if you only knew where to look. The industry is raw with opportunity.
What jobs did not exist before cryptocurrencies? The answer to this question is a lot more boring than you probably expected.
Most of the infrastructure for cryptocurrencies and ICOs is supported by skills that already exist.
They’re simply adapted to fit this new situation.
Cryptocurrencies need:
- Software developers
- Hardware engineers
- Project management
- Lawyers
- Marketing
- Advertising
- PR
- Social media
- Web designers
- SEO
- Content producers
- Accounting
- Auditing
- Market Analysts
And so much more.
The predominant thinking right now is what's the next big idea or industry that can be re-hashed into a blockchain project. Not everyone is as visionary as another, so we have also seen the proliferation of copy-cats, all promising to be slightly better and different than the first.
We fail to recognize that we do not have to reinvent the wheel.
Instead of reinventing the wheel, offering services cryptocurrency projects need can land you a great position in a rapidly growing industry. Expanding the service sector for cryptocurrency projects will also help cryptocurrencies grow more mainstream. Win win for everyone.
Our world is characterised by increasing specialisation. So we can answer this question by looking at how already existing talent can specialised to fit the needs of cryptocurrencies.
That’s where jobs, like miners, smart contract developers and blockchain auditors come into existence.

I love that crypto has opened up more opportunities to make money from home. It is great for someone like me who has skills, but who has been a stay at home mom for 25 years, making it really difficult to get a job outside the home for anything more than minimum wage!
