My Top Cryptocurrency Channels / Crypto Enthusiasts

      When I first started investing in cryptocurrency about 6 months ago, it was quite difficult to figure out which coins to buy and which projects were quality. I think it is a safe to make the assumption that most investors in the space have day jobs and cannot dedicate endless hours on crypto research -- that's why I have created a list, narrowed down after thousands of hours of YouTube playtime, of who I believe are the most credible, knowledgeable, and influential people that you should be following in the crypto community.

Andreas Antonopoulos

      This man hardly needs an introduction -- Antonopoulos has a rich understanding of Bitcoin/blockchain technology, computer science, and global finance. He has written some of the first books on the subject, published hundreds of articles, and frequently travels the world speaking at conferences educating people on Bitcoin. Many of his talks focus around how Bitcoin / blockchain technology will give billions of people access to banking -- if you want to learn more about financial corruption, monetary inflation, the global impact of cryptocurrency, and the new and upcoming 'internet of money', then Antonopoulos is your guy.

      Nicholas Merten, who goes by the pseudonym 'Data Dash' on YouTube, is highly knowledgeable about the state of the cryptocurrency market -- Merten is a believer in the longterm potential of cryptocurrency projects and every now and then showcases his impressive technical analysis skills in daily updates or on live streams. Like Antonopoulos, Merten is also an 'avid critic' of the financial system and has given many international speeches on the subject of blockchain.

Ivan on Tech

      Ivan Liljeqvist's early content focused on programming education, but quickly evolved into a cryptocurrency and blockchain news channel -- Ivan has a unique way of taking complicated, technical topics and presenting them in a digestible way to the layman viewer. Liljeqvist provides daily updates on his YouTube channel ('Good Morning Crypto') and also offers multiple blockchain education and development courses including one that teaches students how to program on Ethereum, EOS, and NEM.

Richard Heart

      A personal favorite of mine -- Heart is as entertaining and witty as he is knowledgeable. Like a crypto Chris Hitchens, his inflammatory, controversial remarks are backed by solid evidence and well-reasoned. Richard, like Tone Vays, is widely renowned as a Bitcoin Maximalist, but had recently retracted this belief in a recent Ivan on Tech interview.       George Tung's channel is relatively small, but absolutely packed with coin analyses, portfolio tips, investment strategy, market trends, you name it. Tung offers realistic market expectations and brings a lot of entertainment value as well by producing short sketches and parodies in his videos (one includes a faux interview with Roger Ver). George is the founder of two companies: CryptosRUs.com and CryptosRUs Insider.

      Entrepreneur, investor, marketer -- Carter Thomas is brilliant at taking a step back and offering a really intelligent, broad perspective on cryptocurrency markets. Thomas' ability to understand buying psychology is uniquely refreshing and will walk you through, without video editing, exactly how he came to his conclusions.

      Fantastic cryptocurrency and market analysis, dry humor, blunt, and to the point -- Crypto Investor could also be named the 'Crypto Skeptic' because even in the face of up-markets and hype, I can rely on Crypto Investor to be the voice of reason, providing a logical and pragmatic approach to cryptocurrency news and investing.

      These are my favorites mainly because they suit my investment style -- there are, of course, many great content producers in the space left out of this article.
