‘Gods Unchained's' HYPERION card is chasing the Black Lotus for the highest TCG card ever sold! 60k

Fuel Games, recently launched the presale of their blockchain esport Gods Unchained, the first of its kind. The game is currently in presale and an auction just ended, bringing in a whopping 146.28 Ethereum. Which at the time of me writing this, equals to the amount of $59,306. This is the second highest TCG card ever sold, the "Black Lotus" which is a Magic the gathering card, currently can go for up to 100k (Depending on quality of the card). But wait, here's where it get interesting, the Hyperion card that just sold for 146 ETH, sold on a digital auction for a TCG blockchain-based card game that hasn't even released yet. Once the game blows up, I can see this card being worth 5x wha it auctioned for. Watch out Black Lotus, here comes HYPERION!

The sale of this card is big because it signifies the cross-over from traditional trading card games, to the new digital format of trading card games based on blockchain technology. There have been others such as Hearthstone, but Gods Unchained is blockchain based, and the cards that you purchase out of packs, are yours to own as an erc721 token on the ethereum blockchain and can be traded or sold. Just like the TCG games of old. Value back on your purchases is huge for anyone that spends a lot of time investing their skill and money into a game.

Gods Unchained is currently only in its presale phase. They are offering a presale set called the genesis set. which includes 380 limited addition cards that can only be obtained during presale by purchasing packs. Each pack includes 5 cards. At the beginning of next year, there will be a free base set given out, there will also be a set you can purchase through packs (But it won't be the Genesis set). But the genesis set will no longer be available. The game boasts an esports tournament next year with a possible pot of 1.5 million. The winning pot is based on the presale of the genesis set which has a hard cap of $15 million. 10% of which is going to the tournament early next year. A beta is set for Q4 of 2018 for testing and balancing.
