Beginners guide to cyptocurrency if you are from India

Hello Steemians and a big shout out to Indians on Steemit.

I recently started getting involved with cryptocurrencies after the hype ethereum and bitcoins stated to generate.
Eventually started learning about ICO's, different coins, their underlying technology of blockchains and the companies trying to create value in the next generation internet world.

So if you are from India and new to cryptocurrencies. I will be posting my 2 cents on the same and the journey so far.

You can get started investing into bitcoins by registering on https://www.zebpay.com/. They have a very good functional app and a good customer service for beginners to start investing in bitcoins. It however only converts INR to BTC (Bitcoins)!

Once you get hold of bitcoins you can start trading in different kinds of altcoins on exchanges like https://poloniex.com/ , https://www.bittrex.com/ , https://cex.io/

And there you go, you can start trading your bitcoins to any other coin listed on the exchange. You will also need a secure wallet to hold your cryptocurrencies if you are a long term investor. I personally use Exodus ( It has Shapeshift built into it for easy conversion into altcoins) . You can also use coinbase or jaxx.
If you are a short term investor you can hold your coins in the exchange itself.
