For me, there are way too many coins or tokens out there. few with new tech that actually make a difference.
Just on platform coins alone, we have Cardono, EOS and Qtum.
Then we have privacy coins like Monero and zCash.
Potentially disruptive coins like Hashgraph and Raiblocks
Toy coins like Decentraland
SALT and SonM are some newer more innovative usage of coins...
i guess about 20 platform coins, 40 privacy/security coins... yes, it's just too many. but there is a whole new world of services to cover and competition drives development. it's the wild west right now, interesting times and yes, definitely 90% of them will fail in the longtherm.
