Native:Ensuring anyone can easily setup a community.

INTRO
The creation of the bitcoin blockchain in 2009 effectively ensured that the way we stored up value took a whole new twist. With the cryptocurrency industry having a valuation of $300B as at April, 2018, there are so many ways via which value can be transferred and stored.
Unfortunately for the less technical, setting up solutions can be complex, and require a certain level of knowledge.

Native ensures that this barrier is done away with, with regards to creating communities. Native is a base on which any kind of community can be created, where members who have a shared vision can gather to achieve a common goal.
It has templates which are applicable to different types of communities, and it also provides tools that assists in the management of these communities.

TYPES OF USERS ON NATIVE
CURATORS:
These are individuals that understand the vision of the community they are in charge of. They are responsible for deciding what can be posted and viewed by members within the community. When tasks to be completed come up, Curators are also responsible for deciding if the task has been completed sufficiently enough for that member to be rewarded.

MEMBERS:
Members are in charge of deciding the direction the community goes in. They can decide if a Curator should be replaced and they are also free to belong to more than one community.

USAGE OF NATIVE’S PLATFORM
Native has officially launched its Alpha version, and users are free to become a part of any community that appeals to them. For anyone to make use of the Native platform, they will need to have a Metamask wallet, and have some ETH to purchase Native Tokens(NTV), which is the only token that gives access to the ecosystem.
At the moment, only Brave and Cipher Browsers support Native.
Some existing communities on Native are Earth Guardians, which is a non-profit organization that looks to empower people and give them a voice;
Imaginal Films: Community with an interest in conscious films;
SDG Futures: Related to the UN’s SDG’s;
Peace Accelerators: Non-profit organization with an interest in advancing world peace. Others are DOLO and The Rick & Morty Crew.

PRIMARY FEATURES OF NATIVE
NATIVE COMMUNITY TOKEN
These are tokens that are exclusive to a particular community, to enable members carry out activities within their community.

POLLS: These are used to vote on projects, to determine which should be focused on moving forward. Decisions that affects the community as a whole are also decided upon via polls.

TASKS: These can be put up within a community for members to show interest and complete, within a set timeframe. When tasks are completed, Curators will have to access them and see if they have been adequately done, before bountys on jobs are released.

ESSENCE OF A PLATFORM THAT CONNECTS INDIVIDUALS WITH A COMMON GOAL
Having such a platform ensures that members can easily learn from each other and grow together. This growth will lead to achieving their common goal much more easily.
They will also be able to reach out to those in leadership positions much more quickly. This will mean that queries can be sorted much more quickly, and tasks will be completed even faster.
Communities remove the barrier that being in different continents create. It sort of creates its own country, where the members of the community are the citizens.

GENERAL TOKEN DESIGN
Tokens on Native are designed to be Bancor Smart Tokens, which means that a portion of them are kept in reserve in the form of Native Tokens (NTV). Users can convert between any two tokens, at fair market prices, which is also a transparent process.

NATIVE TOKEN(NTV)
This is the token via which any user can have access to the platform and then, exchange these for community tokens, to have access to communities they might be interested in.

COMMUNITY FEATURES
DASHBOARD
Access to communities is via Web3 wallets that serve as both an identity and transaction mechanism within the platform.
All activities that are performed within the community can be viewed on the dashboard, such as proposals being pushed forward, tasks to be completed, voting in general and membership history.

COMMUNITY CURRENCY

As stated earlier, every community on Native has their own currency for transactions or activities carried within it.
The importance of this currency is to be a medium via which value can be transferred, membership fees/dues can be paid, and also to show an alignment of interest, where a part of a community’s tokens can be swapped for that of another, or for a project outside their own community.

USE CASE
Apex music is a community of artistes who are a mixed of accomplished artistes, upcoming artistes, aspiring artistes, as well as song writers. They have a common goal, and usually deliberate on issues that pertain to their growth.
Native ensures that they can carry out voting via polls embedded into the ecosystem. Members can be easily rewarded via their own token, and if there are any membership fees, they can be paid with their own token.
They are able to share knowledge without any restrictions and can work together for the mutual benefit of their community. Their growth equals the growth of the Native ecosystem and vice-versa.

SUMMARY
Not being technical is no longer an excuse why an individual cannot have positive impact, or be hampered from creating a community, if they so wish to. Having nifty tools to ensure that the process is a walk in the park ensures that organisations in different fields will not be exempted, and they can easily create or migrate their communities to Native. All these will ensure that communities will be able to achieve their goals and visions, and also implies that Native truly cares about the success of organizations on the platform.
Such an economy can only grow from strength to strength, because more users will be drawn towards their solution, to create value for their own members.

Having diverse interest in different fields, Native ensures that I do not have to use multiple platforms to gain the value I seek or to be active. Being able to be part of multiple communities will ensure that I do not feel choked, and I can feel useful and develop my strengths, by being able to contribute to different causes across different communities, within the same platform.

Communities can be created in a few clicks, and this ensures that users are able to get started without much hassles. Having basic templates that are easy to navigate will also ensure that membership will grow across communities, and they will feel valued and also having a purpose. This will ensure that they stick around, and growth will be sustained.
