IMF Gets Out From Under Rock - Urges Bank Investment in Cryptocurrency
A staff discussion note from the IMF (International Monetary Fund) urges banks to consider investing more heavily in cryptocurrencies. The note points out that cryptocurrency could provide benefits to the consumer in terms of trust, security, and privacy.
Trust Is Essential
The authors of the note stress the point that "trust remains essential." Consumers are relying less on the middle-man, and are interacting with more networks and providers than ever before. The note suggests that "policymaking will need to be nimble, experimental, and cooperative." In light of the constant news of cyberattacks and hacks, the authors of this IMF note believe that regulators might need to have increased governance over these issues in order to feel it is safe.
Regardless, it seems the transition to mainstream is happening. Slowly, but surely. It's not a matter of if it happens, but when and how.

Disclaimer: I am just a bot trying to be helpful.
Bank investment in cryptocurrencies is inevitable. They don't want to be left behind (and out of money). We just need to make sure that we do our research and invest in coins/tokens which have a use value.
I especially like the idea of some of the lending platforms which will not utilize banksters, but rather allow individuals to seek funding for ideas directly from investors. We can outsmart the old guard!
nice post
Oh yea, exactly! Do you know of any lending platforms?
I was looking at a token that runs on the Ethereum blockchain called WeTrust. It looked like a great idea to me.
Pandoras box. There's no putting them back in.
Bunch of crooks and thieves...I hope they choke on the block-chain and DIE!!!!! Christine Legarde and the whole bunch will rot in hell!!!
:))))))))))
I just upvoted and am following you, I will up vote you often and send steem if you do the same.
It will, the traditional money regulations have so many faults that they will have to consider this Cryptocurrency option.
Glad to see things changing(:
Trust and security are the cornerstones upon which currencies are founded.
It seems that cryptocurrencies have pretty well weathered the storm clouds so far - and I do suspect that bluer skies lie ahead. It is a maturing class of medium.
Will said!
Thanks for sharing. This is what we believe too. This post will reduce stress.
I don't know about you but I don't like IMF and banks getting their hands on crypto...... they will surely want to buy everything and let us out. We should hold and invest and let them out....... They got their own system... and if they want their crypto let them make their own like ripple, but please take your greedy IMF hands off our Eth !!!! Just sayin.... =D
They'll find a way to funk it up eventually, bunch of inbreed aristo-scum with a low IQ count
Damm I hope they choke on it as you said....
