PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
I am a victim of both the Bitfinex and Cryptopia. Bitfinex compensation was nothings less of joke. Cryptopia - fingers crossed, if what they have said so far, is anything to go by, I will recover all tokens. Yesterday when I locked into my account my tokens we still there, unfortunately I still have to wait until they can allow users to withdraw. As if I have not learnt anything from these experience :
I have about 0.1 Btc on Bitmex exchange where I have opened leverage trading position.
I also have about 0.5 Btc on Bittrex exchange to participate in the first Bittrex Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) taking place in the next few hours.
This goes to show that until solution is found, we are going to continue to lose a lot of money through exchange hackers.
