My STRAT vs 'Hypers' GNT call and hyping language lesson.

One of my ex-mate 'Hyper' posted in a FB group about GNT. There was no good information in there so I called it as hype. This obviously triggered him so yeah hence the 'ex' part of the mate... haha. He has quite a following but you still need to stand up to people that you don't think are right.

I did a post about STRAT in the same way to try and highlight his use of language which made it a hype post... I was trying to educate other in how to spot this language but still got deleted. (I thought it was quite valuable of a lesson to be posted there, probably seemed like an attack on the person.) He would use language like 'Fundamental Trade Analysis', but not tell us what he analysed or how he did it. So I said that I used 'Super Advanced High Trade Analysis Technique'... (SAHTAT) or something like that to exaggerate his language to make it obvious he wasn't saying anything.

He also said that he would spend hours studying it... So I exaggerated that. Still nothing was said about what he analysis or how he did it. No graph or anything. He did call some numbers and a slight uptrend, but they didn't hold in the end. There was also the use of the word 'Fundamental' which again he never told us what that was. STRAT has a unique angle with it's C#, and GNT could easily be out competed with the likes of SONM. So I had a fundamental advantage because I look at the fundamentals. I asked him some other questions about GNT, but he was unable to answer because he did not know the fundamentals of the coin.

Not only did my predictions of STRAT come true, his GNT call failed. Which was kinda cool to reinforce the point that his was a hype post. STRAT did take a dip before going on a run up past 0.002 BTC which I called. GNT just sank and he was calling a slow uptrend. Which could have tuned into a sharp uptrend if he got his hyping ways, which probably would have been sold off straight away.

Anyways always good to learn and look for this extreme emotional language and be able to spot a hype. There isn't much 'real talk' information in them. I have been through a few roller-coasters in this crypto world and maybe helped some along. Protect your money and do your own research!
