How I Helped With Keystore Login for HIVE + Feedback for Better UX
We have had hundreds of new accounts on HIVE in a single day thanks to INLEO partnership with Dash and Maya Protocol. This partnership comes with a massive innovation that allow anyone with a Keystore file can be a HIVE user without having to get themselves familiar with another wallet or key system. Just as self custody has its own trade offs, Keystore has few trade offs that happen because HIVE is full of innovations that rest of the cryptosphere is yet to figure out.
In order to expose users and investors to the perks HIVE has to offer, we first have to onboard them and Keystore login only offer perks for that particular job. Read more about Keystore login method. We have made it almost as easy as login with MetaMask of a new DAPP or a new blockchain.
What Was Fixed So Far
INLEO is the Arch Linux of HIVE. Users are going to get the bleeding edge of innovation at the cost of being a beta tester. Things are never boring with anything @leofinance is involved in. When Keystore login went live for Dash, @khaleelkazi invited the community to go through the account creation experience with fresh eyes and provide as much #feedback as possible. This is how INLEO is innovating rapidly. It is not a stable experience; which is perfectly fine because HIVE has many stable and boring experiences.
The amazing thing about decentralization is users get to choose the exact type of experience they want. The excitement and the experience of being at the forefront of all new features on a blockchain is worth the occasional bug. We provide feedback and developers rapidly fix things up. This is how we were able to partner with @dashpay and @mayaprotocol to transform HIVE forever!
We are already getting news coverage as in this article and there are plans for ads on X (Twitter) and Brave about the INLEO partnership with Dash. I have been calling for Brave Ads for many HIVE projects and it is an absolute pleasure to see two of my favorite projects (read my old articles on Dash) working together and doing serious marketing.

I have helped with 2 of 11 bug fixes done over the last two days. I cannot code and I'm not part of the team. What I have is a stake in $LEO and $HIVE and an need to help true decentralized cryptocurrency projects to go mainstream and decouple from $BTC cycles.

Discord is another place where feedback can be provided. Including more relevant details will make it easier and faster to fix the issues and improve the DAPP. There are people who had mistaken INLEO for a Twitter skin. The current experience using the DAPP is on par with what X is providing. On some features such as gifting Premium to users, INLEO has been almost an year ahead of Elon Musk.
Near Perfect Onboarding Design
Almost everyone on the internet has access to one of the above login methods. We have login methods that support any existing HIVE user and you will struggle to find any prospect for onboarding that does not have Google or X account.
A Small UX Suggestion
I tried to go through the experience with fresh eyes. It took me a few seconds to figure out how to create a new account if I don't already have a Keystore. LeoDEX account creation was perfectly smooth for me. Using Keystore login and creating a new Keystore are next to each other and this LeoDEX method was the smoothest account creation experience I have had for HIVE.
Most Web 2 apps I have seen keep the account creation button next to the sign in button. Those who already have a Keystore file are likely coming from Maya Protocol or THORChain. They are likely to be very tech savvy. The ones who need the most hand holding are the newbies that are looking for self custody.
Before the fixes were implemented, I would have instructed users to get an Keystore file (JSON) from LeoDEX and use that for login.
Small Additions Make Great Improvements
This Dinosaur game is familiar to Chrome users and it get new users a way to have fun before the process is already completed. There are many psychology researches that demonstrate how emotional state can change the perception of a product.
Exposing users to a few communities is another smart move to create more engagement early on. Ideally, we want the users to spend more time on HIVE than any other social media. People are more likely to invest in what they already use. Many of them may not even go out of their way to Power Down their $HIVE to take profits.
Perfect for Existing Keystore Users
Imagine telling a regular person how you don't have to pay a fee everytime you make a comment, vote or follow a person on social media. They may look at you as if you were from a different dimension. Try telling the same thing to a blockchain veteran and most of them would be impressed. The same goes for the multiple private keys HIVE has. There are things that are amazing to a point where they go beyond the comprehension of the average person.
Focus on Maya Protocol + THORChain
These users share many values and missions with us and they already have a Keystore wallet (likely several). The signup process for existing Keystore users is extremely smooth and easy. It is completely on the same level as an easy Web 2 login. Listen to the AMA linked above. There are plans to promote INLEO on the interfaces for Maya Protocol + THORChain. This is the perfect audience for us with the highest ease of onboarding.
As a final result, LeoDEX will get more trading volume which will result in a lager liquidity pool for $LEO swaps. Trading fees are used to provide this permanent liquidity. HIVE Aggregation Technology use HIVE-Engine Layer 2 along with Wrapped LEO. That is a great news for revenue and statistics on HIVE side of things.
