HOW does this even WORK?
Hi! I'm a newbie here as you may already noticed by the title. I had some questions and honestly i am posting this only to "test" how welcoming is the community here. I was curious at first how all this worked, i googled and read everything i could about steemit but i can't quite understand how does this cryptocurrency itself gets value from? Are people investing on this cryptocurrency? Where does the money/value even come from?
Let's see if i can get the logic behind all this :)
Well, some people promote their posts and they have to pay for that. Second, by buying into steam, you can have more influence over what people will see, so there is an interest investing in this that way. Also, although you make money, they know many will keep the money in the platform, so no real money need to get out. Finally, this may be a pyramidal scheme. I'm just a beginner here to but this is how I see it. Welcome to Steemit!
