Civic token making moves
The Civic ID security token has been growing in activity on the markets over the last few days.
Until recently, the Civic token has been "laying low", losing pace with Bitcoin and the rest of the crypto-market. With many possible new partnerships emerging and advances such as Rootstock and staking, the token finally seems to be attracting due attention.
For a number of months, Civic's market price has been stagnating, but seems to finally be gaining momentum, recently passing 3000 satoshis. It seems that more traders are becoming aware of the potential of this little token.
The current supply of tokens in circulation stands at around 340 million, although the total supply will eventually be 1 billion. Approximately a third of the tokens will be reserved for partner companies and the remaining third will be released over time as needed.
The current market cap of Civic is relatively small at nearly $200 million USD. It is my opinion that this is under-valued and could soon pass $300 million and approach half a billion dollars in the new year. This would project the value of each Civic token currently in circulation to the public at around and eventually over $1 USD.
Civic is aiming to be a new sort of utility company. Along with your power, gas, water, phone, and internet, you will have your digital identity connected and protected through the Civic blockchain for any activities that require proof of identity - banking, passports, age verification, logins, and even voting. It is a concept with a ton of potential.
