RE: Ethermon - The New Cryptokitties (Is this your chance to ride the Crypto Collectible Rocket?)

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

It seems like cryptokitty copycats (pun intended) are popping up everywhere. Do you think there will be a sustainable version of the crypto collectible market anytime soon?

Sort:

I definitely do. I think these first few iterations of "CryptoCollectibles" whether it be Cryptokitties or Ethermon reveal a fundamental issue of launching unfinished products too early.

What I've found about being part of both platforms within the first 48 hours is that there's huge hype and user engagement, but because of the singular focus and inflationary nature of the games, the initial crowd and euphoria subsides - and fast!

So like I said in my post, what really needs to be happening is for developers to build in a full suite of functionality to engage the newly onboarded crowd and keep them there. I'm hopeful that Ethermon's devs will live up to it's pipeline of evolutions and battling, but if that's not implemented soon, the player base die out as fast as it came.

Futures devs will certainly notice this, and if sustainability is any incentive, they will build their platform cognizant of the dangers of releasing too early. Great questions btw!

Thank you for the response! Dropping a follow! You have some very well constructed and thought out posts man :)

Thanks man! Much appreciated ;)
