KNIGHT IN SHINNING AMOR

IT WAS TUESDAY MORNING, 15th FEBUARY 2018,A day after the most talked about valentine ever. After the morning prayers with her husband, he left to prepare breakfast for her while she sat on the bed using a pillow to support her back she began to ponder on the events of yesterday. first she pondered on ash Wednesday, a feast she saw as holy and sacred in the catholic church since she became a member about 3 years ago after getting married to her husband, could fall on the same date with valentine’s day, a day the she experienced the worst violence and pain although everyday of her life was a painful experience till she met her husband.4 years ago on the 14th of February, she experience was the exact opposite of what she experienced yesterday, as an orphan who was sold to a popular woman they called “madam lapping” she was turned into the most devastated and traumatized sex slave ,but the experience was worst on valentine’s day ,even in the midst of her sorrow she had plans for that day since everyone talked about love ,she also looked forward to experiencing the love they talked about ,she hoped her “knight in shining armor” would come save her from the chains of madam lapping and show her how the world looked like on valentine’s day, her parents who had been fanatic Christians never allowed her step An inch out of the house on valentine’s day, so while still within the walls of the place where she was brutalized daily she kept on hoping to see what the world looked like on valentine’s day. She spent the whole morning fantasying and she was so happy madam lapping didn’t call her to be given to any client, in her moments of freedom she began to plan how to escape and go out in search of her “knight in shining armor” ,but her fantasies were cut short when she heard madam lapping scream her name from a distance, she was dragged into a room and was raped by 11 guys(11 knights in faded armor not the knight in shining armor she expected ,she had experienced worst while working for madam lapping but this was the worst experience ever, when the eleventh guy was done, she felt so much pain all over her body, her stomach felt like her uterus was being cut into pieces, she couldn’t help herself up, next she saw herself in a clinic ,she had been rushed there by a good Samaritan, she was about starting a conversation with him when the doctor came in with the news that her womb got destroyed during her experience with the” 11 knights in faded armor”. she cried so hard despite how hard the stranger who had saved her tried to comfort her ,she couldn’t stop weeping for days. she was discharged from the clinic and the stranger asked her to move into his house, she hesitated but he insisted. his house was like a castle and she felt like a queen ,she had the best experience in life with him, they got married and were so happy together even though childbirth was an issue, they both kept hoping God shows them favor and give them a child.
Her pondering was interrupted by the music from the living room, it went this way; ”God answers prayers, he does ,he does…………….”,God did answer their prayers yesterday, they started their valentine’s day by first visiting the doctor’s office because she had been feeling sick, she was however confirmed pregnant, they both could not believe how she got pregnant with a damaged womb. They left the doctor’s office home ,only to find out her husband had decorated the house red, flowers and lights were everywhere she felt so special, they both attended mass where they thanked God and got the ash on their fore head, the city looked so busy , people walked in pairs, boutiques looked like they sold only red clothes. ,she didn’t know her husband was watching her when she exclaimed “so a day I experienced the worst violence in life could turn out to be the best day of my life”, “yes honey, food is ready ”her husband interrupted.
