Hello Howard Fullmer back and today I am learing about STEEM. The future of social media platforms.
Steem is a blockchain. When you go to steem.com you see these words.

Steem is a social blockchain that grows communities and makes immediate revenue streams possible for users by rewarding them for sharing content. It’s currently the only blockchain that can power real applications via social apps like Steemit.
It is a APP driven economy.
1. Blogging app like steemit.com
2. Video app like DTube
3. Photography app like Appics
4. Mobile app like Pariko
5. Fitness app like Actifit
6. Gaming app like SteemMonstes / Splinterla
I use the Mobile apps Appics and Partiko. I have taken a about 7 pictures with Appics and you can see my lastest photo here. I am enjoying the Appics app because I am a very visual person and i like to find interesting things around my city and take pictures of them and it is a good way to share with others what I see.
I may get into the gaming app I like gaming and could be a fun way to earn steem I will look into this game later and probably write a blog post on what I think about it when I do.
Steem is more than a blockchain or cryptocurrency it is a community. Its rewards for doing what you allready do on social media.
Getting set up on steem is different than other social media. Its decentralized meaning no one owns it. There are two options for signing up for steem
1. Signing up through steemit.com
2. Signing up through Steem.Ninja
Through steemit.com it may take awhile to get your account up and running. With Steem.Ninja it cost 3.50 and can have your account up and running right away.
