Cosmic axis: The Ceiba-Cruz Mayan
Fusion of two cultures: pre-Hispanic and Spanish Mayan. The green cross, although already Christian, comes from the prehispanic ceiba tree of life and representative of the vision of the cosmos. That is why the cross is called ya'axché, which is the Mayan name of the ceiba and means "green wood". He is dressed with embroidered shrouds and offerings of colorful candles representing the four cardinal points.
