Women's West Cup title

The Dedecão Stadium in Belterra was packed on Sunday (19) for the grand final of the Cup Oeste de Futebol 2020. For the title, the Belterra and Santarém teams entered the field.

Unbeaten, Belterra's team beat Santarém 1-0 and won the title. The only goal of the match was scored by Paulina, at the end of the second half.

Even with the defeat, the Santarém team did not bow their heads and promised even more effort for the next edition of the competition. The goal was scored after a failure by the Santarém defense. The side, in an attempt to take the ball, ended up handing the ball to the attack by Belterra who took the opportunity and scored the goal.

• We can't keep our heads down, life goes on. Next year there is more, we have to prepare for that, because it was just a failure, we played well, but they deserved the goal - Julien Silva.

The coach of the Belterra National Team, Rafael Silva Nogueira, praised the team's performance and praised the public's presence in Dedecão.

• Unfortunately women's football still suffers a little prejudice, but they have proven their competence. If it were a male competition, I wouldn't have this crowd that came here today - said Rafael.

The 4th edition of the competition rewarded the teams and athletes who competed in the Women's West Cup. In total, more than R $ 29 thousand in awards were delivered. The competition coordinator, Oseias Santos, from the Independent League, evaluated the edition that was held in Belterra.
