It's too bad that the distribution of value is so unequal on Steemit. Hopefully something can be done about it in the future with more tweaking of the algorithms/ hard forks. But ultimately it comes down to the user's choices, with many whales and dolphins choosing to reward each other (often for mediocre content) instead of minnows that create excellent content.
