We are glad to introduce to the Steemit community the Naijaboost Curation Account created to support original contents and ingenuity of the Nigerian community and her authors.

The name Naija is the local parlance used to describe Nigeria and the Boost is what it is, Boost. Like the name @naijaboost, this account will be used for the sole purpose of curating and boosting payouts of Nigerian authors based on original contents.

Why Curation?

Recently, there is been a high influx of newbies into the Steemit platform and you will agree with me that, Nigeria accounts for 10% of this number. Sustaining the stay of these newbies (majority of whom, see Steemit as a social media that pays you to blog) requires a sustainable curation support.
There are quite a number of curation trail that are helping out with curation, but curation it is not enough and adding one more is not too much, hence the reason for this curation project.

@naijaboost target audience.

The target here is the Nigerian Community.
The Nigerian community on Steemit is growing rapidly. Some few Steemians are witnesses to this development and there is no denial that though we have the Curie curation support and that of the Nigerian curators(with delegated SP), there are still several persons/accounts that needs to be reached and serviced.
The creation of the Naijaboost Curation Account to focus on the Nigerian community in a bid to support whatever curation the community is benefiting from.

Team behind the curation project:

The project is built and supported by a few persons from the Nigerian community whose vision and goal is to see a strong united sustainable community. The team comprises
@ejemai (STACH)
@gbenga (Steem Virus)
@ceepee (Genesisproject)
Technical Adviser is @donkeypong, whose consent, approval and support was sort to commence this project.

Vision:

To build a United Nigerian Community that rallies around her people.

Mission:

To empower, support, grow and sustain the Nigerian community while supporting one another.

Sponsors:

Presently, the project is being sponsored by the team and we are starting with a rented delegated SP boost from @donkeypong.
Contributions and donations are welcomed towards the success of this project.

How can you help.

To support this non profit curation service, you can delegate SP to @naijaboost or by donating SDB/STEEM for the purposes of SP rental.
To know more, speak to @ejemai @gbenga and @ceepee on Steemit.chat.

Stay tune for more update on the project commencement.

@naijaboost is poised to provide the needed boost for the Nigerian Steemit Community.
