We may be talking about different things...

This Curie: 'SBD 195 has been generated for authors thus far, at an average of SBD 7.50 per post.'

Curie of 2/3 March: 'SBD 1,034 has been generated for authors thus far, at an average of SBD 17.50 per post.'

Ah, I was talking about The Daily Curie posts. Since Curie is participating in the no-whale voting experiment, the payouts are way down.

So I still don't get it - why should I care that the Curie post earns more, when the point is surely to distribute earnings to curated posts. What's the point otherwise? (Which seems to be Curie's thinking too, as they're suspending the Project.)

[Nesting limit] You should not care. :) It was merely an observation about the effects of the no whale voting experiment. It's Curie's goal to not just distribute earnings to curated posts but also to curators who curate them. Creating a community of curators is as important as authors. Some of the curator's payouts are generated from these posts.
