A man sitting in the doctor’s waiting room was called in for surgery when it was his turn. To everyone’s surprise, the man lets another patient go first. When asked why he explained, “I read my horoscope this morning. It told me that from 11 o’clock I would be under a lucky star. As it isn’t eleven yet, I still have some time before seeing the doctor.”

Every time we hear of some tragic or bad news fear or anxiety seems to rise in us spontaneously. These emotions come to us whether we like it or not and affect our reaction. In the same way, hearing of good news especially the good news of our Lord Jesus has a way of resurrecting faith in us which also affects our response.
