RE: Curie Weekly Update (11th December to 17th December 2017)
as usual nothing about photography !
i understand that most of curators are look for the long writed down blogs and posts, but distinguishing feature of photography is to talk with an images and without long texts.
in whole photography represented very bad on Steemit - when i use "photography" tag - i find everything but sadly not photography in term of ART.
i'm sure that part of curators here can help us to filter the huge amount of posts with the goal to find exactly the needed stuff !
Agreed, agreed and agreed. I'd like to hope that will change very soon. The problem is, as you suggest, that the photography tag is just full of shit and it's really hard to find good quality posts. The other problem is that even a high quality photograph on here needs a story behind it in my opinion. It's no good just posting a single amazing photo. If you do, how does anyone really know if it's your own photo unless they do a reverse image search on google.
To get a photography post noticed by curie id recommend that you need to have a series of photos and a good amount of verbosity about how you went about taking the photos. Ive had relatively better success by posting in this way - not necessarily picked up by curie, but i certainly get more reward for doing it that way.
this word "shit" was in my mind but i tried to not to use it in this massive post - some ppl take snapshots and have no idea what is photography at all but with a time some of them do understand but most of them never get this..
i picked by Curie a few times with a small amounts of steem power % but still was happy to get the support. they stopped hit my posts when i got to 55 reputation - so bye-bye curie :--)
about series of photographs - i always do series images posts (a stories) in my personal blog site but rare here cos mostly ppl even don't open the posts here just put their upvotes with the goal to get their rewards - a big minus of this community but its what we have .
