Application for Curie’s community building support for @archdruid

  • What is your community / project and what is its purpose here on Steem?
@ArchDruid was established as a sub-curie community which aims to promote and cultivate the quality gaming contents of the blogging platform.

  • How much support are you seeking per month for the two-month period?
@ArchDruid has recently acquired two new community managers/ curators and our first initiative to revitalize the community is to launch a fortnightly contest. @veryspider and @elfranz, the two new curators, will provide 15 Steems as prizes, so if we can get the same amount from curie, we are seeking 60 Steems for a period of 4 fortnightlies (2 months).

  • How will this support be used?
The Steems will be used to double the total prize pool for the contests to 30 Steems per contest.

  • Approximately how many users participate in your community or project?
Previously, @enjar was the curator of @ArchDruid and when he was running the contests, participants were at an average of 12 to 18 entries per contest. The lowest seemed to be at 9 entries and the highest at 29 entries.

  • How will supporting your community or project help grow the Steem community?
Gaming is a thriving sub-culture outside of Steemit and Steem. It has grown from strength to strength as it is becoming its own brand. For example, gaming streams and gaming internet personalities are the two biggest known genres on a lot of social media websites and video sharing channels.

It follows that if we cultivate and grow the gaming community on Steemit, we will also offer a place to call home for any gamers, both for existing Steemians and potential NEW joiners.
