#cycling4steemit: CALLING ALL bike packers, tour cyclists - and all other kind of adventurers on a bike! Join our NEW community!

I gotta be honest when I created the post yesterday trying to reach out to people who's also into cycling just like me I didn't expect much response! But it does turns out there's even more people than I expected who were interested. So I am starting to create a network of people where we can start supporting each other in our blogging and adventures, a place where we can always find interesting content about the passion we all love and share!

Instead of making cycling4steemit only about my own cycling travels, I am instead gonna start using it for the adventure cycling community!

So one post already made a decent sample size of people who had some interest one way or another in cycling. So I can only imagine with some regular promoting of our new community, we can start gather even more people! From just the post yesterday I managed to gather a small list of people who either wish to start writing about cycling or already do:

I mean lets be real here, considering I am not really that big on Steemit this is quite a good response for a start. Already 10 people from one "search" is just fantastic. I really do believe with enough persistence we could create a place where people could regularly go in and read, vote and discuss each others content on #cycling4steemit.(at least that would be my ideal world). The only thing I truly miss is a place for adventures cyclists to come together, so I guess instead of waiting it is time to be a bit proactive!

So what do I turn cycling4steemit into now?

Before I wanted to use it as a brand for my big tour I was gonna bike this April from Denmark to South Africa. But now I am looking at it differently. #cycling4steemit should be a place where everybody with a cycling bird inside them can come with discussions, stories and deep thoughts related to cycling adventures. I want to see all kind of topics: What bikes are you riding, where are you going? Did you do a recent day trip? Nothing is in my world too big or too small to be posting about. As long as it is not spam content of course.

To start making #cycling4steemit a bit more attractive, I will dedicate a large portion of my Steem Power for those who uses the tag!

Something has to be attractive for people to start using it and No I am not a Whale but I am a smaller dolphin and with currently 5200 Steem power I can at least give it a small push in the right direction! Hopefully with other people joining in and checking out #cycling4steemit we could eventually make it even more attractive! For a start I will give full up votes to those who starts to use the tag and I will check on regularly. But when(hopefully) the usage of the tag will grow so will I have to diversify my Steem power. But truth to the matter is if we see that kind of usage of the tag, we will naturally start supporting each other!Steemit is all about empowering guys!

Something Steemit really needs is the communities, a way for people with same passion to gather much easier. While the implementation of communities will make things better, it could still be a long wait for that to happen. So I don't see anything wrong with starting gather people now so when the day comes we might have already something going for us.

But for now it might require a bit more from us than it usually would. It would be a great help if those interested could start using the tag and maybe even check in on it from time to time to support other early members. There's always something thrilling about being the first members and see the progress!

I have to be honest, just like when I did my first bike tour through Europe and had no experience. I don't have any experience with what could help this tag and community grow. Do you have any idea could help it grow even more maybe you possess some kind of skill that could be of use? Please if anything comes to your mind!
