OCD DAILY - Issue #522

Welcome to the 522th issue of @OCD Daily!

Issue #522 highlights content from six(6) Hive Content Creators! The OCD team continues its search throughout Hive to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.

Today our curators found six(6) new pieces of original content! We strive to find works that are created by newer Hive users, that may not have the audience with which to share their quality content. @OCD strives to help provide that audience and intends to showcase Hive users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content.

The @OCD nomination process

A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users). Within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @OCD team, curator votes are tallied, and the pieces with the most votes are included in the compilation.

We encourage you to visit these blogs and show these great Hivers your support and encouragement.

If you enjoyed their work, give them a Follow or maybe even say Hello!

All of the content chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is universally appreciated and valued by our curators making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.

The Ink Well community nomination of the day is from @carolkean

This short story is like an ode to covid19 and one authors recognition of the truly important things in life when faced with such world shaking concerns. Among a slew of hive hype posts this story is like a breath of fresh air. A fiction full of pathos, evoking the very real sadness and worry many feel now for relatives, friends and themselves.

The author, Carol manages to weave personal history, seamlessly into the story even alluding to blockchain and crypto from someone who I know is of the generation that finds all this confusing.

Read this story! If you want a break from the hive hype, personal blogs and more technical articles that are flying around at the moment (all necessary and valid) - if you need a break from it, read a well written short story about loss, sadness and personal conflict with the daring to hope through the power of prayer.

P.s. I love the way this author references our resident spamming fundi-mental bible quoting spammers who have been attacking everyone's blogs on the comments section before we moved to hive. It is great how the writer puts these people in their place. Even though the author shows that they're religious throughout the story, yet they astutely recognizing the irony of fundamentalist preachers on a blockchain like steem.
