Are you profit sharing with these posts? Are the photographers giving you permission to post their work in these posts?

Dear @pfunk, @steemtrail is a curation project intended to make a quality material visible. I do not get all of the rewards you see. It is shared among the large group of curators. Photographers can only have benefits if they are featured here. If someone thinks he/she is “used”, he/she can simply ask not to be featured anymore, like @sardrt did. She is good but she is not featured anymore.
You know I'm all for promotion of photography on Steem but I don't see the photos you're promoting receiving anywhere near the rewards these posts are, so I'm not sure how it qualifies as curation as far as Steem is concerned.
Obtaining explicit permission from the post authors is encouraged. Respect their work and give them the choice.

Would an explicit gratitude exspression constitute “explicit permission”?
But I do. Did you read the answer above your comment? Here is again…
That's not explicit permission.
Are you asking an explicit permission for a resteem?
I am talking about getting explicit permission to put these photos in these posts made by @photo-trail.
You are talking of mission impossible. Anyone who doesn't wish can explicitly say so. All others are giving implicite consent because they have benefit of it, despite you may not see it.
Commenting to ask for consent on someone's post isn't impossible, especially when you're already there to copy the image URL. You might be providing some benefit to these photographers but you're right, I mostly don't see it. I don't see upvotes on their posts, but I see some pretty big ones on these Photo Selection posts. That's not curation in the spirit of Steem.
No problem with that if the authors have consented to their photos being presented here though.
Explicit gratitude exspression? Of course not.
Are you serious?
So do you think it is legal if I take a logo from a famous firm and put it on my t-shirts that I will be selling if I write them email how much I like the logo and its colors?
