In simple words, social mining is a decentralized hub that recognizes community contribution to the success of every project. It pushes the need for organizations to provide performing members of the community recognition and awards through a decentralized structure that functions on a merit-award based system.

Social mining serves as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that helps both centralized and decentralized governing bodies curate original and high-quality content from the community, and in return, reward them for their efforts.

How does social mining work?

Social mining functions as an ecosystem. One that comprises different entities and areas, this means social mining has other groups of various elements that help interact and perform a chosen and specified function.

These elements include; the social mining SAAS, the DAO Labs, the DAOVERSE, and the social mining governance.

As illustrated earlier, social mining assists organizations in generating a valid digital presence and footprint, spreading awareness through the use of a decentralized system that awards user-generated content.

Why do projects and their communities need Social mining?

After the shortcomings that have been seen in the previous decentralized ecosystem where the rewards mechanism performs poorly, social mining has come to provide the crypto industry with a better mechanism of incentivizing decentralized communities, thereby supporting the project.

This new mechanism allows users to submit their proof of contributions and get validated by fellow community members. This sort of system allows individuals in a particular community of projects to utilize their voting credits in determining who is worthy of the reward.

What kind of tasks are available?

Tasks are sets of assignments prepared by a project team or the decentralized autonomous organization that governs such a project. To qualify for a task, you have to be a trusted and verified social mining user, who has completed the profile setup and onboarding survey.

Tasks vary, they may be based on accessibility or specific levels of difficulty.
Rewards for tasks are in reputation points or project native tokens.

What are points and reputations?

Points are one of the factors that determine a user's most essential indexes. There are three main essential indexes: Influence, reputation, and points.

Points and reputations play a huge role in the determination of payouts. Reputation is a record of “how quality” a user's work is, while a Point represents the “Quantity” of the user's work.
Points and reputations are earned through either of the following ways;

  • Community board application
  • Task completion
  • Social media program
  • Referral program.

How does each member get paid?

To get paid, social mining users will need to fulfill requirements outlined by the project team. Rewards come in the form of native project tokens, and gift cards.

Also, merchandise is used by projects without a native token, as there is a need to incentivize their community for their contributions.

How to connect with Telegram and Twitter?

The Twitter program allows community influencers to earn income based on post engagements and impressions.

This program makes use of automated social media marketing tools. Influencers can connect their Twitter page once they meet up with the requirement, via their profile page and start earning based on the number of people who engage on their posts and the impression they have. Instructions are rolled out and the quality of tweets is graded 72 hours later.
