DAV Establishes a Global Peer-to-Peer Transportation Network
Self-driving vehicle volumes influence significant growth of the transportation market. The tendency of ever-increasing demands for autonomous mobility services brings automotive technology into the fold with the peer-to-peer business model. Large corporations call for significant investments in transportation technology. However, mobility service requires new types of business models and management.
DAV Foundation aims to leverage this tendency and brings self-driving services into the masses. To that end, DAV will build an ecosystem that will accelerate open technology development in the field of the autonomous mobility.
DAV business model
DAV proposes a collaborative model with an open-source network, so that developers can use the open protocol to introduce their elaborations. The key target of the project is to integrate information on self-driving service providers as well as their facilities, such as charging stations, parking spots alongside other related services, and enable collaborative work between all network participants.
The platform will comprise operating items classified as follows:
1. Identity Module to make devices apparent for users.
2. Discovery Module to include tools for exploring the supporting structure.
3. Communication Module to introduce a common protocol for interaction between participants, expanded through the mission flow to negotiate on exchange services.
Each entity described above contains a history of performance, which is stored on condition of anonymity. In this regard, users will be provided with information on a number of missions completed by a drone, but the ownership will be hidden. On top of that, due to a decentralized nature of the platform, the entire transaction history will be accurate.
Additionally, the platform is designed for third-party participation, in particular, to provide optional arbitration and insurance services.
Taking advantage of business networking
There is a certain assurance, that driverless vehicles will gain popularity with consumers. The bias towards increasing this area allows developers and providers to increase their value in the following manner:
1. Vehicle providers who contribute to the DAV ecosystems will be rewarded with tokens for the transportation facilities.
2. Supporting service providers can earn tokens by offering any maintenance services.
3. Third-party service providers will be able to upload their data relating to a specific vehicle, provide independent dispute resolutions through the system of smart contracts and gain profit.
4. Vehicle manufactures will be able to sell open-source plans, etc.
5. Developers will be able to sell soft- and hardware.
Token Sale Plan
Smart contracts will be operated with the use of DAV tokens on the ERC-20 standard. Public ICO started on June 11, 2018 and will end on June 25, 2018:
The market of self-driving vehicles will be most probably shaping the future of the logistics industry. As nowadays there is already a number of applications for autonomous elaborations in logistics, DAV intends to take a next step towards a decentralization of the transport operations. Thus, enterprises that deploy autonomous vehicles to handle their products, can possibly turn their attention to the blockchain-driven ecosystems to access a wide range of services. However, there is still a variety of factors that will limit the adoption of transport ecosystems regulated in a decentralized manner, particularly, a tokenized basis of financial operations.
