RE: Introducing DCLICK: An Incentivized Ad platform by Proof of Click. - Steem based AdSense.

in #dclick6 years ago (edited)

Hey, thats really nice! =)

I'm building a little dapp myself and looking around for usable advertisement options to allow the authors a reward after the 7 days. There is always a, lets say a "bad smell" if you have to include some iframes into the page. Not only there is alot of trouble because of GDPR in europe, but also a risk involved. If as example, my app could get the ads via. an api from your service, i could display them better and without any risk for the user, maybe even pictures.

I would really like to see:

  • A api for third party dapps to include the ad on their own way without any change on the blockchain post itself
  • Allow a share of the revenue for third party dapps, like 10 percent. You could do it like the author/reward model with 75% author, 15% dclick and 10% third party dapp or something like that. If you give other dapps a opportunity to earn something, they may join you quickly, i'm sure. =)

Another question is:
If an advertisement is in my post and the advertiser is no longer paying for it, is it going to be there forever or removed?

Most likely, the ad will not be deleted, but will be exchanged for another ad that is paying.

Hi @abwasserrohr. Thanks for your comment. We are already working with some dapp such as @trips.teem, and developing a system that can deliver ads via api. We have not yet decided specific revenue distribution rule, but we will make sure that the dapp we cooperate with us will have profit as much as possible. Since hf20, older posts can also be changed via api. We will use this feature to change ads once the ads end. Can you send an email to us? ([email protected])
Id like to talk more about cooperation.

Oh yeah, thats also very nice to change the advertisement. Don't know how the witnesses feel about updating advertisements into the blockchain directly tho'. =D
