RE: "Dear Dawne" Live Today! - Getting Those BIG UPVotes: How To Get Noticed (From A Brand New Curie Curator)

in #deardawne7 years ago

Hello @wanderlass....
Well, first off I am fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home wife. I have more time than I know what to do with most days. All the kids are on their own with their own lives and families; so all I have in my home i s my husband and our chocolate lab. For members that have part or full-time jobs and careers, being on steemit more than a few hours a day is almost impossible; especially of they want to sleep and have a speck of a life.

I have always been an OCD personality, organized beyond belief and set personal deadlines, goals and am my own worst critic. I have a set schedule for DIscord and steemit. I space it out over the day, have breaks to clear my head and do household and gardening chores as well as set limits before frustration sets in. It's all about balance for me.

It also helps that my husband works a minimum of 10 hours, 6 days week but currently he's on 12 hours, 7 days indefinitely... again... sigh- So I spend my time wisely and AM A HUGE proponent of chore lists and to-do lists. It keeps me on track. When I worked for a newspaper as a staff writer and reporter deadlines were daily life and I implemented that into my regular life.

Awesome you are so organized! It's no wonder you are on track here in Steemit. You're everywhere and been very active.

I would like to do what you said and have a schedule and to-do list even here in Steemit. I work full time and it's been a challenge as there are more responsibilities that one can take as we grow here. And I think those breaks in between is needed to keep my sanity lol. Thank you very much for sharing your tips and advice!

PS. You and your husband and a choco lab sounds like the most romantic thing <3
