We’d like to take a moment to recognize the research article submitted by @palikari123, it was an excellent piece of research, well supported with articles and leaks from cryptome.org, and concisely written. We were very impressed with this submission, Bravo!
Thanks to everyone who participated in the inaugural Deep Dives Challenge. There was a nice variety of subject matter in the contributions and even a number of Steemians who’ve had first-hand experience as being T.I.’s and are still feeling the ramifications today!!
These personal accounts add another dimension to this research and from the descriptions found in the Global Intelligence Files, this is quite disconcerting. Thanks to all of you for showing the courage to talk about what it’s like being a T.I., it must not have been easy sharing this.
We also hope that you enjoyed digging in the Wikileaks vaults for hidden gems. We anticipate that this is just the beginning and look forward to more great research in the weeks and months ahead.

More Time
As was discussed in the Discord channel The Big Dig, solid research takes time so we’ve decided that future installments of Deep Dives will be run for 2 weeks. We hope that by giving participants more time, they can dig a little deeper and still have enough time to organize their research before the deadline.
Also, we’d like to make it known that there will be a rotating schedule of the larger archives such as Wikileaks. This means if you miss a posting deadline you may have an opportunity to post it in future challenges.
Upcoming Dig
The next edition of Deep Dives will also be open ended but this time the focus will be on the CIA Library.
This archive contains publicly available government documents that span over several decades. It’s a diverse collection but it’s not well organized, especially in comparison to the Wikileaks collection.
The official start of the fresh dig will be announced in an upcoming post (hopefully in about a week’s time). By letting you know in advance, this should provide you with ample time to explore the archive and get a head start on your research.

Thanks for organizing this project. In my opinion this is a perfect use for the blockchain, exposing information that the mainstream media ignores.
Huge congrats to all of the winners! I loved the posts about targeted individuals. I have lived this reality and it's more scary than words can convey. Living in a modern day police state keeps you on your toes.

Yes, the TI posts were really interesting contributions. I have a feeling that we're going to see more of this type of surveillance and harassment of citizens in the future, particularly towards activists and the politically active in society.

I think extending the deadlines will be very helpful going forward, good research shouldn't be rushed or hastily put together. After we have a few challenges under our belts hopefully we'll find the right balance.

Thank you, it kind of feels that way too. Today I got an email back (after a week!) from the Dutch embassy (I told you about this didn't I about not getting my passport renewed?) that they can't do anything if that municipality blocking my passport won't respond. So here I am now, 3 weeks left before the application ends, and I won't get my money back either.. That bastards don't even respond to emails.. They're doing this on purpose.. Same people starting this shit when we were about to blow the whistle.. So I felt really down after reading that, realizing this will be a long battle and I will be without a passport until we win.. And then I got the notification about being second place. My response was kind of like: at least it has been good for something..

Interestingly enough, your post about your passport fiasco came across my feed (via my friend @bifilarcoil) and I did read it. Those types of stories really do show us all, how absurd the state and their mafia really are. I wish you all the best in the future with getting it sorted all out. Hope it turns out well!
Yes, I know he resteemed a few of them.. Its crazy, I was feeling shitty due to this yesterday, and now I am coughing like crazy too .. so I guess I will be out of order half of the days.. Lucky me, got less than 3 weeks left. But things go as they go.. wasnt actually thinking I would get it sorted out on time. So that means in the future new application.. paying the fine again and until then no passport and not being able to get health insurance.. Holland, such a fine government for its people..

I appreciate the kudos- I'm far from a great writer. I only worry about the relevance, my experience with the CIA goes back to Vietnam and Central America in the late 70's.

The part where you described being 'microwaved' and having your body temperatures manipulated stands out to me. I hope this chapter of your life is over and the harassment has ceased.

Thank you! Yes, I must admit if we wouldn't have been together (my boyfriend and me) I would have lost my mind. These things are hard to figure out, but when you are collecting evidence in every possible way for months (making notes, audio recordings, video recordings, screenshots, pictures and even find bullets placed in your closet) and you are with another person that confirms what is happening, you can lift each other up.
But I am convinced that when you are alone in this, it is really hard.
We had a meter to record the radiation from a friend of ours, and he has seen them go through the roof with his own eyes too.
It's still pretty hard to go into every detail, because it was pretty traumatizing. But writing helps me a lot to learn to cope with these things, and it also is very helpful to find more and more confirmation about the things we thought were done a certain way since I've joined Steemit. If I had to describe every detail for all that has happened all these months, I would have a whole series of books.. because unfortunately I still remember everything in detail.. That microwave thing was actually feeling as if you were boiled from the inside.
But they also drugged us with injections (don't know what until this day) every piece of clothing/ laundry was covered in some kind of liquid that burned on the skin.. I haven't found out what this can be, but have found similar things (also in that leaked document) about this.
Anyway, still the tip of the iceberg here, more will follow in the future..
That part has stopped as we live in Hungary now, but the same government department that started it, is now making it impossible for me to get my passport renewed. So I am currently without an ID/passport. This is their way of still making it hard for me, but I won't stop fighting. We came this far, nobody thought we would, so we can do anything.
