All of the original pictures I used were carefully reviewed at pixabay.com and downloaded.

I am convinced that there is no problem with my postings and pictures. I was very surprised that steemit's official account responded amateurally without any confirmation.

I have got an app on my phone that turns photos into such sketch. It just takes one click.
It does not make me an artist as all I do is using software made by someone else to transform photos taken by someone else.
All you did here is just using someone's photography and using some computer program to turn it into "artistic" expression. You are not the artist and you are not photographer.
If you used own photography, then it is a different story.
You said that you are the creator of deepsketch. It means that you are machineboy.
In order to prevent identity theft, identity deception of all types, and content theft we like to encourage users that have an online identity, post for a website or blog, are creators of art and celebrities of all notoriety to verify themselves. Verified users tend to receive a better reception from the community.

As you've used it, the output I uploaded to steemit is not the result of using the app.
The results of my app are much simpler.
No software on the market can produce my work-level results.
It takes several steps to express appropriate artistic expression, color and texture, and requires manual work and time.
Do not misunderstand that using Free Photos and My Software has easily produced my results.
I do not think you have the right to judge whether my output is art or not.
I am a scientist, but I think that I am making art works with my time, effort, and skill from emotionless photographs.
However, if you want to limit the original pictures of my work to the pictures I took, I will proceed from today.

Not citing the source of photos (images) is plagiarism. Here is a post on why this is bad, and here is how easy it is to find allowed photos.
Not indicating that the content you copy/paste is not your original work could be seen as plagiarism.
