I've had a pretty rough day today. So here's a couple of my tips for dealing with Depression.

  1. Bust out 10 pushups and situps once an hour while you're feeling down or until you feel ok.
  2. Find a song or an album that you haven't listened to in awhile and listen to the whole thing with no distractions.
  3. Disconnect from Facebook, Twitter, and other social media accounts for a day or two.
  4. Try learning something new (read/watch something educational).
  5. Take a long drive around your city/town (my favorite time to do this is either at first light or just before the sun drops below the horizon).

Always remember to watch out for signs of despair in your friends and family. Depression is a serious mental health disorder that affects a growing amount of young people.
