Hello everyone,

as I have stated many times before, you can rid yourself of depression for good, but you are not just instantly cured of depression. The negative thoughts will still come once in a while, when you experience a setback in life and will try to pull you back into a depressive phase, which if you give into it, will lead you right back into depression.

When you find yourself again, you feel good, very good in fact, but life doesn’t always go smoothly. Sometimes we are confronted with setbacks concerning our work, social life, or living circumstances. In these moments we often find us thinking, that we have failed, or that it’s not worth trying further, because we will end up failing anyways.

I have currently experienced this myself concerning my work, I really thought about giving up for about half an hour, until I paid attention to what was actually happening. When I realized that I was about to give in to these negative thoughts I stopped myself. I am currently still looking for work, day after day, without any results, but we often forget to look at what we have done so far, not what we have achieved.

We are so focussed on what the results are, that we ingore to give ourselves credit for our effort, endurance and what we have invested so far. Just because we do not get fast results, does not mean our efforts are in vain. If you believe in yourself, that you can overcome the difficulties you are facing, by stopping the negative thoughts. Catch yourself from falling and continue on your path with confidence!

Depression is hard to deal with, because even when you are out of the continuous downward spiral and have found yourself again, you will find yourself being tested when faced with difficult situations.
Truly freeing yourself from the grasp of the depression, is a constant trial, that you have to overcome over and over again. But if we have reached the point at which we are no longer actively depressed, we are provided with the tools we need to keep ourselves free from depression.

We have the confidence we need to keep going.

We have determination to follow the path we have chosen.

We have overcome self-isolation and can finally ask for help and not have to fight alone any longer.

But at the same time, we have found the strenghth to be able to overcome our difficulties alone. (Of course there are exceptions like financial struggles, or similar problems)

The most important thing to do, is to never ever give in to the negative thoughts and continue to believe in yourself and what you are doing!

Get organized and look at what exactly your problem is, take it step by step and do not let it overwhelm you.

I am sorry for sidetracking from my life story I have begun, but when I was faced with this, I felt I should share this with others.
This way if you find yourself in a similar situation you will not feel like you have failed to free yourself from depression. This is a normal occurance.

So keep calm and face it head on, I know you can do it, you just need to believe in yourself and stay motivated!

Take care everyone!
