Smog free tower

in #design7 years ago

SMOG FREE PROJECT is a series of urban innovations led by Daan Roosegaarde to reduce pollution and provide an inspirational experience of a clean future. SMOG FREE TOWER, SMOG FREE RING and SMOG FREE BICYCLE provide a local solution of clean air in public spaces. Here along with governments, students and the clean-tech industry, people can work together to make a whole city smog free.
Daan Roosegaarde and his team of experts have created the world's first smog vacuum cleaner. The 7-meter tall SMOG FREE TOWER uses patented positive ionisation technology to produce smog free air in public spaces, allowing people to breathe and experience clean air for free. It is equipped with environment-friendly technology, cleans 30.000 m3 per hour and uses very little green electricity. The SMOG FREE TOWER provides a local solution for clean air such as in parks. The effect of the Smog Free Tower has been validated by the results compiled by the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Creating a tangible souvenir, Roosegaarde designed the SMOG FREE RING of compressed smog particles. By sharing a SMOG FREE RING you donate 1000 m3 of clean air to the city. In 2017, Roosegaarde presents a new addition to Smog Free Project: SMOG FREE BICYCLE. The innovative bicycle inhales polluted air, cleans it, and releases clean air around the cyclist.
Specifications:
SMOG FREE TOWER is a 7 meter tall aluminium tower using only 1170 watts of green electricity and positive ionisation technology. The workings of the SMOG FREE TOWER have been validated by professor Dr. Bert Blocken of the Eindhoven University of Technology and is successfully implemented in China. The SMOG FREE TOWER is created by Daan Roosegaarde in collaboration with the engineers and designers of Studio Roosegaarde, ENS and till 2013 advisor Ursem. The SMOG FREE RING is designed by Studio Roosegaarde. The SMOG FREE BICYCLE draws its inspiration from the Smog Free workshop in Beijing which featured artist Matt Hope and Professor Yang from Tsinghua University.

It's pretty cool but. . I don't understand how it works. I assume there is some static electricity that pulls carbon molecules from the air and through ionization it encapsulates the carbon and it is left deposited in a sink? I don't know lol! Maybe add the #science tag next time, someone may be able to shed some light.

I'm going to Follow you in hopes that you donate to me 30 000 m3 of clean air. Please send it double wrapped, with high priority shipping.
