The history of coin money in Indonesia
Steemit friends everywhere, this time I will post a picture of coins of rupiah in Indonesia.
Money is a medium of exchange that can be made of several basic materials, including paper and metal. In this money there are also pictures that reflect the characteristics of the country of origin of the money. Through the image that is in the money, we can learn about culture, special animals, national heroes, as well as other things related to the money production country. One form of money that has existed for a long time in Indonesia is the coin.
The smallest money is worth 1 cent and issued by the Government of Indonesia around 1951. In the penny money there is a picture that resembles Arabic script and behind it there is a picture of grain. Then this money is also characterized by its hollow center. Similar images and shapes can also be found on 5 cent denominations. Furthermore, on the 10 cent denomination and 25 cents money, there is a new symbol of Garuda bird as the symbol of the state of Indonesia. On the contrary, there are only 10 cents and 25 cents showing the nominal value of the money. In the center of this denomination money is no longer a hole so that the whole round. Variations on coin drawings can be found on 50 cent denominations. At this fraction, there are two variations. In the first money the image resembles a 25 cent denomination bill which is a picture of a Garuda bird and the nominal value of the money. While on the second money pictured Prince Diponegoro and behind it there is a nominal value of the money. Prince Diponegoro was chosen as a hero whose face was featured in money because of his role in the resistance against the Dutch.
Indonesian paper money interesting. I like seeing all of the wonderful colors. Thanks for sharing.
