Apple Cider Vinegar Detox

in #detox6 years ago (edited)

If you are a woman in 2018, you know that detox is supremely important to overall good health especially as a mom wanting to lose a few extra pounds! Everyone, from Oprah to Gwyneth Paltrow, has pushed a miracle cleanse that was supposed to make you shine from the inside out. In the early 2000s, it was known as the Master Cleanse. Now, juicing is popular with many fit moms.
Did you know that you probably have the ingredient that you’ll need for a great detox right in your own cupboard? Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is a brightening, lightening, detoxing machine that you can put to use in your own body. Let’s dive into the best ways to go about a detox using ACV, what to be careful about, and how to select the best vinegar for your needs.

I want to detox, but I don’t want to fast. Can ACV work for me?

Absolutely! According to the scientific research, drinking diluted ACV before mealtimes can help to prevent blood sugar spikes. This might help you to avoid diabetes.
It’s also great for weight regulation. People who drink a little ACV each day have healthier body weights.

I want to go the whole way with ACV, but I’m worried about health. What safety precautions should I take if I want to use ACV while fasting?

One thing that other guides might not tell you is that drinking ACV on an empty stomach can cause nausea. You don’t want that. Make sure that you dilute the vinegar with water and add something to help your body digest it. We suggest raw, local honey. This will help you to build up your defenses while removing toxins.
Always ask your doctor before starting a fasting regime. It’s not a safe thing for pregnant women, those who suffer from low blood pressure or high blood pressure, or people who have Type 1 diabetes. Experts recommend that you fast for no longer than 48 hours at a time.

How should I choose a vinegar?

Make sure that you get a raw, unprocessed ACV. Some claim to be the real thing, but they are diluted, pasteurized, or otherwise changed. This makes all the health benefits less effective. You need to get an ACV with the active culture inside—known as the “mother.”
We recommend Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar (the classic) or Viva Foods ACV. The best ACV comes from local farmers, though. Ask around at a farmer’s market and find the highest quality product for your detox.
Recipe for homemade apple cider vinegar
Use the last remnants of a bottle of ACV with the “mother” still in (the active, fuzzy-looking microbes that produce the health benefits).
Chop and peel organic apples.
Wash and prepare your glass jar (no lid needed, yet).
Put the apples into the jar, and then, pour water mixed with a tablespoon of raw sugar and the “mother” into the jar. Make sure that the liquid covers the apple pieces fully. If necessary, put something heavy on top of the apples to weigh them down. Cover the top of the jar with a cloth.
Wait 2-3 weeks, keeping the jar in a cool, dark place. DO NOT put a lid on the jar. It could explode if you do.
After it begins to smell sour, you can remove the apple pieces. Return the liquid to the jar and wait 4-6 weeks, stirring the ACV from time to time.
This is the method that will bring the best results for your own personal body. As you interact with the ACV, you will personalize it!!
